Maharaja of Jaipur started construction of this splendid palace in 1876 to welcome Prince Albert of England. The former ruler of Jaipur, Maharaja Ram Singh, has credit to construct this palace. It took around 10 years for its construction. And, then during the rule of Maharaja Madho Singh, it was inaugrated as a royal palace dedicated to Prince Albert.
