Sudarshan Pattnaik is an international sand artist who represented India in the world. He is a self-learned artist who first started sand art in India. Due to his contribution as an artist, he was awarded as Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2014.
He is among the best sand artists in the world. This 43-year-old artist is not only active in his artistic works but also in public welfare. He is an inspiration for all the artists who are passionate, and dedicated to their interests.

Early Life of Sudarshan Pattnaik
Sudarshan was born to a poor family at Puri in Orissa. When he was just 7 years old, he started making designs with the sand. Later, after years of practice, he became popular as a sand artist. He has creativity and dedication to his passion. Even if he had no resources, he continued his art and now, everyone knows about his creativity and skills. So, His Creativity has inspired millions of peoples.
Trainings and Workshops
Mr. Sudarshan Pattnaik is providing training to several artists at Puri in Orissa, who want to learn sand art. He has a training institute in puri as “Sudarshan sand art institute”. However, He also conducts national and international workshops for artists to share his knowledge. So, many peoples are getting benefits of his mastery as a sand artist.
Awards

He achieves Guinness book of world records for creating the world’s tallest sandcastle of around 49 feet. In the international sand competition, he got the first prize. Even the countries including the united kingdom, Italy, Singapore, China, Germany, and many more awarded him for his creativity in sand arts. However, He has also achieved awards from many organizations for such contributions.
Contribution
He gives his contribution to every festival and situation by his art. He gives a message on all the occasions by his creative sandcastles and designs. Recently, he declared to auction the paintings of his sand art for COVID-19 pandemic relief which will help peoples in need.
