The Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple of Delhi is dedicated to Swaminarayan. It took 5 years to build this temple by BAPS under the supervision of Pramukh Swami Maharaj. It was opened for tourists in 2005.

Swagatam
Swagatam means welcome inside the temple followed by holy footprints of Lord Swaminarayan. It lies between Bhakti dwar and Mayur dwar. The four conch shells shower water on these footprints.
The Temple
The temple(Garbhagrah in Sanskrit), is dedicated to Swaminarayan, you will find stories of Bhagwan Swaminarayan and its avatar on the walls through the paintings. From birth to the entire life span of Lord swaminarayan is inspirational for visitors.

Sahaj Anand Water Show
This is a breathtaking spiritual show with laser lighting , flames, water jets and the presentation of the Kena Upanishad. It has storytelling based on ancient stories.

This temple is built by Marble and pink sandstone that makes it shine bright in the sunlight. It resembles with ancient Indian architecture. - Mobile phones inside temple premises are not allowed. However, cloakroom is available.
- Keep cash with you, if want to visit theme gardens, water shows, or exhibition halls.
- It takes 4 to 5 hours for visiting, plan accordingly
- Water shows are available in evening only
